My memory flies to several years ago. Suddenly it stops in 2017 memories, I have spent my time to travel to Bintan Island. Bintan is really special for me, because this is first time for me to explore "mini" beautiful Island. I will tell you my own stories on there and how I fall in love with Bintan land.

Bintan Island is located on Riau Archipelago as a part of Riau Province. If you familiar with Batam Island, the distance between them just ten kilometres and also close to Singapore (45-50 minutes trip by boat). I called them the triangle of vacation.

Overall, Bintan land has some unique places to visit both in land and water tour spot. In one day, I can explore four places.

1.Gurun Pasir Busung

Can you imagine that Indonesia has sand dunes? I couldn't imagine it before. If you see and learn about geographic location, Bintan is the perfect tropical area with beaches around the land. Amazing! This place has magic to attract the tourist. I feel that I am in the middle east desert. You'll see the stretch of desert panorama with the total 6000 hectares area, unfortunately without camel in there.

The perfect combination of white, yellow and pale brown of sand makes me want to sing "A whole new world" loudly. Come on, Arabian nights is so close, let's call the magic carpet. If you want to go to Bintan, I strongly recommend you visit Gurun Pasir Busung, to feel the Indonesian desert with the "taste" of Arabian desert. The Gurun Pasir Busung is located in Dusun Busung, Kecamatan Tanjung Uban, it takes about 45 minutes land trip from Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport or Tanjung Pinang Port.

2.Telaga Biru

After looking around the desert, you'll see another surprise. In the middle of desert, mirage usually appears because off high temperature and refraction, so you will see the oasis in the middle of desert. In Bintan, oasis is real. In the middle of Gurun Pasir Busung, you can find Telaga biru (blue lake). Telaga biru was formed after the government era of President Soeharto, in the beginning, this area used as bauxite mining. The bauxite mining was abandoned for many years, and the former quarry fill with rain water. Camera stand by please, you'll hard to move on when you see the blue color of water. Oh, I love it!

3.Treasure Bay Bintan

Do you have experience to swim in the third largest swimming pool in Southeast Asia before? Yes, Treasure Bay Bintan is the answer. This artificial beach has some facilities such as water sport, cable ski, speed boat and you can play volley beach in here. To walk around, you can ride the bicycle, scooter and other vehicle that use electricity as source power. With a total area of 6,3 hectares, you will find attractive water games and garden. Actually, I can't swim, but I feel safe because the coast guards always stand by to make sure all people safe.

4.Mangrove Forest

It's time to explore mangrove forest at night. This is the best part to close on day trip in Bintan. With one small boat (max 10 passengers), we explore the Mangrove forest through the river. I swear, so beautiful. We didn't allow to turn on the lamp or the handphone lights. Why? We have to deal with million fireflies in leaves and branch. I can't express it with words, speechless! I feel like we surrounded by million stars. Yeay, I super love it! I tried to catch them in my arms, like a child.

This is all my travel story in Bintan. The tropical land with middle east "view". I hope can come back again to there with my beloved family. I also want to explore another exotic place in Indonesia like Raja Ampat, Bunaken, Toraja and many more. I am proud to be Indonesian people!
