According to the principal, Hasan said that the UKS extracurricular activities were not running because there was no administrator responsible for UKS extracurricular activities and a lack of knowledge about UKS education. Apart from that, according to the principal, Hasan also said that another factor in the non-implementation of extracurricular activities was also the unavailability of a UKS room at the school.
The school only provides mattresses which are placed in the library room to be used when a student is sick, fainted or injured, said Mr. Hasan as the headmaster of SDN Bedalisodo 03. Because the UKS extracurriculars were not carried out, the students did not understand the importance of UKS education which should have been implemented at an early age, in order to maintain the health and cleanliness of the school, as well as provide knowledge about first aid.
The UM KKN team finally created a program to revive the UKS extracurricular at Bedalisodo 03 Elementary School. By providing knowledge to Grade 4 and 5 students at Bedalisodo Elementary School about what is UKS? And forming a UKS implementation team by recruiting grade 4 and 5 students to join as little doctors, for the sake of efforts to re-establish UKS at Bedalisodo 03 Elementary School. Students who have registered to become little doctors are then given insight and knowledge about UKS, healthy schools, first aid , etc. by UM KKN students. So that students who become little doctors understand the tasks they have to do afterwards.
The students who had registered to become little doctors were very enthusiastic in participating in every series of events and providing material carried out by UM KKN students for 8 meetings. Apart from that, the UM KKN students also included fun games in giving the material so that the students would not get bored while participating in giving the material and knowledge about UKS. Apart from incorporating fun games during the presentation of material, UM KKN students also distributed healthy snacks to students.
After all a series of events, providing material and knowledge to students who had registered to become little doctors, these students were inaugurated and inaugurated as little doctors on November 17, 2022. The inauguration and inauguration were carried out by giving green scarves by UM KKN students while singing songs mars UKS, as a sign that these students are officially becoming little doctors and are ready to carry out their duties.Â
After completing all the series of inauguration and inauguration of the little doctors, it was closed with a group photo as proof of the inauguration and inauguration of the little doctors, as well as the reopening of the UKS extracurricular at SDN Bedalisodo 03.
