Students of KKN (Real Work Lecture) Malang State University held a Blood Donation activity which was held for the public in collaboration with the Karang Taruna of Packaging Village and PMI Kediri City on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
This blood donation was held at the Indrakso Intersection, Kemasan Village, Kediri City at 08.00 - 12.00 WIB. This activity was well received by the people of the Kemasan Village. Not only the people of the Kemasan Village, many people outside the Kemasan Village who came to participate in the activity such as the Pakelan, Mojoroto, Jamsaren, and Ringinanom villages.Â
Before donating blood, prospective donors must fill out a registration form and proceed with screening which includes checking blood type, blood pressure, weight, and disease history. After doing the screening, the donor gets on the PMI bus to take blood.Â
The enthusiasm of the people of the Kemasan Village was very high, seen from the number of participants who participated in the Blood Donation activity exceeding the planned target, which initially only 50 participants turned out to exceed the planned target. The high enthusiasm of residents who became donors was hampered due to the limited time as agreed by the PMI of Kediri City, namely from 08.00 - 12.00.
With the holding of this blood donation activity, it is hoped that it can help meet the needs of PMI Kediri's blood bags and as a sense of concern for people in need
