Meteorology and Geophysics (BMKG) inform an earthquake measuring 6.2 on theRichter scale (SR), Tuesday (23/08/2011) at around 3:12 pm with the center140 kilometers Southwest Krui Lampung.

The quake, located at 6.45 south latitude 103.91 east longitude with a depth of 10 kilometers stated no tsunami potential.

The epicenter was also 154-Liwa South West Lampung, 179 kilometersnorthwest Ujungkulon-Bantam, 188 Southwest Cape Coral-Lampung, 325 Kilometres South West Jakarta, Indonesia

Rumors about a potential tsunami earthquake in Singkawang was false and untrusted.
