Organizations such as Rethinking Economics and the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) have also been successful with their efforts. In fact, a new economics curriculum developed by INET called CORE, which combines together mainstream thoughts and heterodox thoughts from other economic schools, has been successfully and enthusiastically adopted in a number of reputed universities such as University College London, King's College and Sciences Po, France. This revolution must spread over and it must succeed.
In conclusion, the state of economics education is indeed flawed and undemocratic and thus reform is highly needed. Fortunately, efforts have been undertaken to achieve such reforms and in time we might see a new brand of economics that no longer makes the same mistakes that its predecessor has made.
