Lionel Messi As captain of the Argentina national team, he made 4 records after successfully winning the 2022 World Cup. Lionel Messi contributed two goals in the penalty shoot-out against France.

The success of the 2022 World Cup did not escape Qatar's hard work as the host for the 2022 World Cup. Qatar is the first Middle Eastern country to host the historic World Cup event.

Qatar has been preparing for this prestigious event for 12 years. Qatar's preparations have started since 2010. Qatar wants to truly deliver success at the prestigious 2022 World Cup. During the 12 years of preparations for the Qatari nation to welcome the 2022 World Cup, Qatar has been hit by many oblique issues that have the potential for the 2022 World Cup.

One of them the oblique issue is the issue of LGBT. Threats from LGBT groups who feel insecure watching live in Qatar. This can be seen from the statement by the head of security for the 2022 World Cup which banned LGBT symbols and LGBT campaigns from being in Qatar.

What is LGBT that is being talked about at the Qatar World Cup?

LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. Originally, in 1990, LGBT information was only used to refer to gay and transgender people. Today, this acronym covers a broader range of sexual orientations and distinct gender identities.

LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) has become a global phenomenon that has been widely discussed over the last decade. This is due to the large amount of news or media information and cross-border LGBT support activities.

The growth of media that contains news and highlights phenomena that are actually old phenomena, reawakens society to the phenomenon or problem of LGBT.

In international relations, the LGBT phenomenon is included in global human rights issues. Human rights are a very sensitive topic of discussion, but many people do not know about the LGBT phenomenon, namely lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.

Therefore, they often confuse this term with a misunderstanding. People in the LGBT community continue to be stigmatized or misinterpreted by society at large, even among students.

Qatar's move to ban LGBT symbols is seen as social division and a double standard against humans. In Qatar itself, LGBT and sex outside of marriage is illegal or a crime and can be punished with a criminal offence.

This has become a controversy in society, especially people in Europe who support LGBT rights. Due to the oblique issues that exist about Qatar, many LGBT people or groups have canceled live broadcasts in Qatar because they don't dare or don't feel safe to come to the country.

Previously Qatar announced prohibited things during the 2022 World Cup. Violation of the regulations carries a prison sentence of 7-10 years!

- Prohibition of LGBT & its attributes

- Prohibition to bring & drink alcohol

- Prohibition of free sex

- Prohibition of get-togethers

- Prohibition of affection in public places

LGBT advocates will always use human rights and gender rights as citizens as a defense. But they forget that Qataris, who are mostly Muslim and mostly conservative Qataris, do not accept LGBT people.

If LGBT supporters want and want to use human rights as a weapon they sell to take them to the World Cup in Qatar, then the Qatari government also has human rights to protect against deviant sexual behavior and activities that violate its values, norms, people and religion.

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi as Qatar's Energy Minister gave a statement on accusations against his country Qatar. The Qatari Minister of Energy stated that LGBT groups could come to the 2022 World Cup.

They clarified and defended that they had no problem if LGBT groups came and visited Qatar. The rules and policies of the Qatari government regarding LGBT and sex outside of marriage are the absolute right of the Qatari state to run its country according to Islamic law.

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi asked western countries not to interfere in the government of his country, including regarding the legalization of LGBT.

The State of Qatar also stated that the attacks given to its country as the host of the 2022 World Cup were successive regarding human rights, which were identified as having hidden intentions through these attacks.

The Emir of Qatar as the leader of Qatar is ready to accept negative comments and considers these comments as positive criticism for himself and Qatar.

Qatar's action to ban LGBT symbols and LGBT campaigns in their country drew criticism from the England National Team as the national team which first expressed concern about LGBT issues in Qatar.

Other national teams such as the German, Danish and Wales national teams wore armbands in the rainbow colors of the LGBT symbol, as a sign of their concern for Qatar and their support for LGBT groups.

Europe is one of the regions with the largest number of LGBT people in the world. The natural emergence of LGBT in Europe, supported by the will of LGBT supporters.

To have freedom of everything in Europe and freedom of the media to broadcast LGBT topics, which quickly fueled sexual orientation.

The European Parliament has passed a resolution declaring the EU a "zone of freedom for LGBTIQ." The move aims to ensure protection for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer communities across the bloc, as well as to challenge member states with anti LGBT policies.

Comments from Several Countries Regarding this Issue

There are about nine European countries that support diversity and continue to campaign for LGBT. With the OneLove armband aiming to support marginalized groups, several team captains are willing to wear it.

Among them is the UK which actually supports the LGBT campaign and condemns Qatar's actions against the ban on the World Cup. Even FIFA still prohibits captains from wearing the rainbow captain's armband.

England captain Harry Kane is not worried about the banning of various LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) symbols during the 2022 World Cup hosted by Qatar. The Tottenham Hotspur pillar still bears the symbol of LGBT support. He wears the rainbow captain's armband.

Next, there is the German national team posing silently in a team photo to denounce the silencing of the captain's armband/OneLove GLBT campaign.

They didn't do it without reason, because it turned out that the German national team had a different view of what was happening.

Previously, it was reported that the German national team still wore the captain's armband in the World Cup Group E match which was held in Qatar.

All the German players made a silent move including their captain Manuel Neuer. Neuer has also been shown to hide the captain's armband. The DFB, the German football federation, then provided clarification regarding the unnatural photo pose.

According to them, this is a form of protest against the silencing at the 2022 World Cup. The DFB also discussed the ban on wearing the "One Love" rainbow captain's armband in Qatar.

Through the DFB's official Instagram account, the silent photo pose was a form of protest against the silencing at the 2022 World Cup.

“With our captain, we want to highlight the values that we live by in the national team: diversity and mutual respect. Speak up with other countries. This is not about a political message: Human rights are non-negotiable. This should be a problem of course. Unfortunately, still not. This is why this message is so important to us. Forbidding us from bonding is like forbidding mouth. We stand our ground."

"We want to use our captain's armband to take a stand for the values we share in the German national team: diversity and mutual respect. Together with other nations, we want our voices to be heard. This is not about making a political statement - human rights are non-negotiable. That should be taken for granted, but it still hasn't happened. That's why this message is so important to us. Denying us the captain's armband is denying us a voice. We stand our ground."
