Unemployment is one of serious problems in  a country that is still difficult to solve. This problem may lead to poverty problem if it is not solved. Acccording to "Thomas carlyle unemployment is a man willing to work, and unable to find work, is perhaps the saddest sight that fortune's inequality exhibits under the sun" (in Mankiw,2007). According to bps, the number of unemployment in indonesia in August 2016 reached 5.61% increasing by 1% from February(sumber). There are several causes of unemployment.
First is low education. People with low education tend to not have good skills in working. However, there is a solution for this problem, the government must give the society free school and free trainings such as public speaking, marketing, sewing and farming, according with their passion. So that after finishing free schools and trainings, they are expected to have desired skills.
Second is lack of jobs, people who have skills became unemployment because they don't know what to do, they are not getting job opportunities. The lack of job opportunities in Indonesia occured due to current technological advances companies prefer to use a machine than human because people quickly tired and the solution is the government must expand jobs opportunities, so they can show their skills with working in the right place.
According to BPS recorded 7.24 million people have not been accommodated by the job market until August 2016. While the unemployment rate is open about 5.94 percent of the workforce that totalled 121.87 million people. (sumber). The number of unemployment in Indonesia in the year 2016 reached the lowest point since 1998. Â Unemployment badly for the economy of a country. Countries with high levels of unemployment will show the economic instability of the country and obstacles in achieving the aspired development. People who live in that country became poor, they could not fulfill their needs because they don't have a revenue, that the reason why unemployment became a serious problem. So, at least government should pay attention to the society and that their need are met and the country can be prosperous.
