The progress of COP27 decisions will be seen at COP28. The government has taken bold steps to establish new financing arrangements as well as special funds to help developing countries cope with loss and damage.

The government has also agreed to set up a "transition committee" to make recommendations on how to operate the new financing and funding arrangements at next year's COP28 which will be held before the end of March.

It is hoped that by requiring loss and damage funds from developed countries to assist vulnerable countries, they will be able to overcome the effects of climate change and adapt to the effects that have already occurred.
