Solo, Central Java -- Nasi Liwet, one of the traditional dishes that has become a culinary icon in Solo, is now increasingly popular among various groups. Behind the popularity of this dish, a local entrepreneur, [Lanang], has successfully captured the attention of the public with his unique version of Nasi Liwet. In an exclusive interview, he shared how his culinary business developed and what makes it different from others.

Products and Unique Offerings
The product sold by [Lanang] is Nasi Liwet, a traditional dish from Solo known for its savory taste and natural ingredients. "Nasi Liwet, cabuk rambak, ketan bubuk, and jenang tumpang are some of the legendary dishes from Solo that I sell," said [Lanang]. However, what sets his products apart from others is the selection of ingredients and the preparation process. "We use freshly pressed coconut milk and omega eggs as the main ingredients, without any artificial coloring. All of the ingredients we use are purely natural," he added.

Loyal Customers from Various Groups
Nasi Liwet has a broad appeal to different groups. "In the morning, many workers stop by for breakfast before starting their activities. In the evening, young people often come, especially after 10 PM," explained [Lanang]. In addition, this dish is also popular among Solo residents and visitors from outside the city who want to enjoy Solo's traditional cuisine.

Two Sales Sessions Every Day
[Lanang] operates his business in two different time sessions each day. "In the morning, I sell from 05:30 AM to 08:00 AM, and in the evening from 7:00 PM to midnight," he said. The morning, especially before working hours, is the busiest time, while in the evening, after 10 PM, it becomes a popular time for young people who want to grab a bite to eat and hang out with friends.

Strategic Location in the Heart of Solo
His sales location is also quite strategic, located on the side of the road in Solo, specifically at Jl. Ronggowarsito No. 55-57, Keprabon, Banjarsari, Solo, which is also close to popular spots like Anak Panah Kopi Solo. "My selling location almost never moves, it only shifts a few meters depending on whether it's morning or night," he explained.

The Story Behind Choosing to Sell Nasi Liwet  
The reason for choosing Nasi Liwet as the product to sell is very personal. "I've always liked Nasi Liwet, but I couldn't find one that suited my taste. So, I decided to cook it myself, and it turns out many people said it tasted great, including my relatives and neighbors," he said. This sparked the idea to start a business, which has now grown into a popular culinary venture.

Sourcing Quality Ingredients and Digital Marketing
To ensure the best ingredients, [Lanang] personally visits the traditional market every day. "I want to make sure the ingredients we use are always fresh and of high quality. This is important to maintain the taste of our Nasi Liwet," he shared. For marketing, he also leverages social media and digital platforms, offers attractive promotions, and provides delivery services within the Solo area.

Hopes and Plans for the Future
Looking ahead, [Lanang] hopes his business will continue to grow, not only by maintaining food quality but also by expanding its market reach through digitalization. "We want more people to enjoy the Nasi Liwet Solo that we make, whether by visiting us directly or ordering online," he concluded.

With various innovations and dedication in running the business, [Lanang] has made a name for himself in Solo's culinary scene, turning Nasi Liwet into a must-try dish, whether for breakfast, dinner, or simply enjoying time with friends.
