we plot and plan with cunning skill
to catch our friends with tricks and thrill
and watch them fall for our deceit
with joyous hearts and merry feet
the pranks we play are all in fun
no harm intended, not a one
for on this day of merry glee
we celebrate our trickery
so let us revel in the joy
of playfulness without a ploy
and cherish every moment shared
with friends whose bonds we have repaired
