3 tahun yang lalu saya ketemu dengan grup musik pasar raya Hasselt, Belgia. Via email kami selalu get in touch hingga akhirnya ketika saya kembali ke kegiatan menulis blog, dan befikir untuk meliput mereka, mereka sudah jadi band beneran, bukan lagi pemusik jalanan.
Penasaran kan tentang siapa mereka dan bagaimana mereka survive di tengah krisi eropa yang sedang mengamuk. Baca wawancara lengkap di bawah ini:
Hallo: Hello guys!!! How are you?
ON (Chris): Everyone’s fine over here ! A bit of sun, lot of music & projects of all kinds.Sounds like happiness to me :)
Hallo: The new recorded single is very special. I even asked myself, “Can I see shit???” Is it your own song? I can’t see shit, hmm… does it mean something personal for you or other members of ON?
ON (Chris): Yes it is our own song. It’s a teamwork, but I must confess here that the lyrics means something to me!
Hallo: Ups!
ON (Chris): “I can’t see shit” just means: I see no big deal, I do not understand much. Most of the time we do not necessarily see right away things that really matter, it takes to step back ! To miss things just by not being able to see them, that’s what this is about ;-)
Hallo: OK! Then, I can’t see shit either ;-) maybe more often then you all. Hahaha… By the way, how is the process of making the song in ON? Do you have your own studio to record the song? Or you have to rent a private studio?
ON (Chris): There are two composers in “ON”, Vincent and I. Some songs come from him, others come from me. When we think we got something interesting to work on the beginning the funniest part of the work as we start adding some guitars riffs, layers of keyboards and all kind of stuff. For now we record at home on Pro Tools. Recorded in a studio is expensive but we do intend to go there as soon as possible.Producers, feel free to contact us ;-)

ON (Chris): The idea of “ON” was born around 2010. Since then we have played with different people, try different formations, till now where we found a formation that suits us well. Now we play in trio (Rod’ :drums, Vincent : vocal & keyboard, Chris : vocal & guitar). For the rest, we’re really wish to thank our loop station :-)
Hallo: And how important is the music for you? Any plan to make a living from music? I’ve been already your one of your FANs!
