After mid night, at Venice river bank
The morning dew greets me
And whispers …. Will you take the journey?
After spending the quarter of the evening,
Puzzling with old life and memory
Recalling moments of sorrow and joy
The morning dew whispers ….

With my guardian angel I took the journey on a Gondala
Down the river with the song of the ripples
With the chirps of the night angels
Arrived in the garden of the past
Still the same as I left it a decade ago
Starring at the dome of the old Cathedral, still there as it was
Peeping at the old monastery
And greet me to be in as I was in it decade ago

Took me a bit to the south of Venice
Passing the old prison where I used to do my Sunday visit
Passing the coffee shops where I use to stop by after the night shift
Passing the red bridge where I used to hang around
It was such a journey
Even short but bring me lots of memory
Thanks for coming along on my Gondala
Travelling back to my old days.
