 Singapore international Guitar Festival & Competition (SIGF)

Time range: between June until December

Budget estimation : Rooms (35 US $/Day) + Meals (4 US $/Portion)

This festival is fairly big and easily accessible with budget airlines from many Asian countries. There are more budget flights to Singapore than to any other ASEAN countries. 

The festival is for you who don't have a big budget and are looking for new challenges. The festival also has a competition and it's been going now for 6 years; whereas the festival itself has been going for 12 years. 

Classical guitarists such as Aniello Desiderio, David Russell, Berta Rojas, and John Mills have been invited to the event. This festival is organised by Thomas music. The last SIGF 12 festival was held in 2016 and before that SIGF 11 was held in 2013. So, we are still waiting for the next SIGF 13, which date is still not yet announced until now.

Daejeon International Guitar Festival & Competition (DJIGF)

Time range : between September -- November

Budget estimation : Rooms (40 US $/Day) + Meals (7$-12 US $/Portion)

This event has been held for 7 years in a row and should be on your watchlist for those of you who are looking for a good competition! Besides masterclasses and competitions, the festival also provides guitar exhibitions. Fingerstyle guitarists were also invited to have concerts in an open-air space.
