RSI Sakinah or Rumah Sakit Islam

“Sakinah” (Sakinah Islamic Hospital)

Mojokerto was built in 1990 on the

former land of “Mbok Berek”

Restaurant which was bought from

investors’ donation, and Muslimat

Nahdlatul Ulama contribution from

“jimpitan beras” (In English:

rice-donation, it is one of the

customs of NU society to donate a cup

of rice every home every night).

Then, from the initiative of the

Mojokerto greatest muslim leader, KH

Achyat Chalimy (founder of Pondok

Pesantren Sabilul Muttaqin, the

oldest and the biggest Pondok

Pesantren in Mojokerto), he demanded

that NU should establish its own

hospital.
