The Song Album is a Novel

In my mind, track of song is just like a single poetry, or a short story with its own story behind lyrics and music. #track

And since the album contained several tracks, let me compare it as an anthology of poetry or short stories with its same theme ♬ #track

What about comparing the album as a novel? Well, it depends on synchronization of the list of tracks, just like novel chapters. #track

So better listen the album from the #1 till final #track to feel the story overall and to determine it as novel or anthology. #track

I'm sure every musicians make a finishing touch by listing their tracks in harmony story, they explored their music in the list. #track

And it's an honor for musician when we listen patiently their album from the 1st track, to feel how they begin the story for us. #track

Before this mp3 era, music lovers were automatically being patient for playing tracks by type cassette, when u can only push fwd ♬ #track

Nowadays, u may skip any track as much as u can skip the whole story behind the album. That's an unrespectful way of enjoying music. #track

So, back on track, have u ever listen to an album completely? If no, you haven't read any novel of a music. I mean it ♬ #track

I collect many jazz album of Jamie Cullum, Michael Buble, Katie Melua, Norah Jones, Tony Bennet, their albums are great novels ♬ #track

I'm not a good listener, and I listened many tracks before with that "skip style" and I missed the main message of an album. #track

Many song album titled with its famous single track released before the album, that's for market value, like novels prologue ♬ #track

Musician usually put the famous single at track #1 and choosing it as album title, the top-down plot of a novel, right? #track

However, some musicians titled their albums with names (self-title), and other favorites unmentioned in tracks title but in line. #track

Jamie Cullum's latest album "The Pursuit" on 2009, the title was taken from the novel "The Pursuit of Love" by Nancy Mitford. #track

From #1 Just One of Those Things until #16 Grace is Gone, none of tracks mentioned "pursuit" rite? But that's the package ribbon. #track

Katie Malua's latest album "Secret Symphony" was released on last March with 11 tracks, beginning with "Gold in Them Hills" ♬ #track

If you listen to this sweet jazz album patiently from the beginning, you'll find the secret symphony at the end. Gorgeous! #track

You may have your own favorite singers or musicians, from british to american or latin, or here in Indonesia, their albums are books. #track

Just like reading a novel or anthology from the beginning, I experienced amazing harmony by listening the album completely. #track
