In commemoration of the 256th anniversary of Sungailiat City, the Bangka Regency Government organized a "Jalan Sehat" for the general public. Jalan Sehat activity took place on Sunday, May 29, 2022 and started at 6 a.m in the morning in front of the Bangka Regent's office. Jalan Sehat in the framework of the Sungailiat City Anniversary was enlivened by the presence of the capital's artists and culinary delights that had been prepared by the committee as well as presenting various attractive door prizes and main prizes.

Tens of thousands of Bangka people enthusiastically participated in this Jalan Sehat, starting from ordinary citizens, students, university students, private employees and state civil servants from regional and vertical institutions. The enthusiasm of the community can be seen from the sale of Jalan Sehat coupons for Rp. 10,000 which sold out 35,000 coupons. Meanwhile, enthusiasm was also seen since 5 a.m, the location for the start of the Jalan Sehat event, precisely in front of the Bangka Regent's office, had already begun to be filled with a number of people.

Exactly at 6.10 a.m, Mulkan as the Regent of Bangka released the participants of the Jalan Sehat by raising the "start" flag as a sign that the Jalan Sehat had begun after a joint prayer had also been held. The distance for this Jalan Sehat route is 6.8 km. Jalan Sehat is the moment that the community has been waiting for after being stifled by the Covid-19.

One of the peoples, Aryeni, said that she and her children deliberately followed the Jalan Sehat because it was to relax and exercise together.

"Since the COVID-19 there have been no activities involving the community and this is the first time the Bangka Regency government has organized a Jalan Sehat for the general public," said Aryeni.

In addition to maintaining physical health, the Jalan Sehat is carried out to help the community's economy, especially for traders who sell their wares and also an important momentum to revive the tourism sector due to COVID-19.
