Jiawe in his book argues that according to data mining is is the process of finding patterns that interesting and knowledge of numbers big data. According to Stanton et al, data mining is a term which refers to the use of algorithms and computers to find novels and interesting patterns in the data.Â
Meanwhile Turban et al explained that data mining is a semi-automated process that uses statistical techniques, mathematics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to extract and identify potential and useful knowledge information stored in large databases.Â
From his journal, Tandika put forward several things about other terms of data mining, the explanation is as follows. information (information harvesting), and archaeological data (data archaeology).Â
The information generated from the data mining process is very important for a company or organization as a basis for determining the right decisions or actions in the future, besides the results from the data mining process can also be used to predict business trends, and see patterns that are difficult to know.Â
According to John Naisbitt in Larose (Larose, 2005) that we are immersed in data, but we lack information and knowledge. This is a picture of what is happening today, that scales the volume of data This very large amount just becomes garbage in storage memory, if not processed into information.Â
Conclusion From the results of this reasoning, it can be said that Data Mining is a detailed data processing process to obtain useful information and knowledgeÂ
