Rektor UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung has officially launched the Moderasi Beragama IV Se-Indonesia (KKN) curriculum in 2024. The event will be held in Pendopo and Kuningan Islamic Center (KIC), Kabupaten Kuningan. The event was arranged by the Kuningan local government and 63 Rektor Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan (PTK) from Indonesia, including Rektor UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Prof. Dr. Hajam.
The person in charge of the Kuningan Regency Regent, H. Raden Iip Hidajat, delivered a welcome and direction to the KKN participants. Iip Hidajat emphasised the importance of collaboration between students and the government to build a better Kuningan. 'For the next one year, as Acting Regent, I have mapped out a work programme through Trimatra that colours the direction of Kuningan development.Â
It is reflected in the Sundanese philosophy of life, namely silih asah, silih asuh, and silih asih,' said Iip. In his direction, Iip emphasised four main things that need special attention, namely poverty, unemployment, stunting, and maintaining regional inflation. 'I advise students to be responsive to things that happen in the community so that they become constructive input for the future,' he added.
Prof. Dr. H. Rosihon Anwar, Rector of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, emphasized the importance of the Religious Moderation KKN IV course in his report. 'The launch of KKN Moderasi Beragama IV throughout Indonesia in 2024, which took place today at Pendopo and Kuningan Islamic Centre, is a significant step toward strengthening partnership between universities and local governments in developing a better society,' he stated.Â
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Zainul Hamdi, also known as Prof. Inung, Director of Diktis at the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, stressed the importance of KKN participants having a beneficial impact on society. 'KKN participants should leave a fire of passion for the community,' noted Professor Inung gave his opening remarks.Â
Meanwhile, Fahriza Kirani, a 6th semester English Education Department at IAIN Kendari, participated as a student representative in this program. Fahriza Kirani expressed her desire to join in KKN Moderasi Beragama IV and help solve many difficulties in the Kuningan community. 'The inaugural event of KKN Moderasi Beragama IV throughout Indonesia in 2024 is projected to provide a momentum for students to actively participate in regional development and contribute positively in overcoming various social challenges,' she stated.
