Ecological crisis refers to a serious emergency or situation resulting from widespread and ongoing environmental damage. The ecological crisis threatens the sustainability of ecosystems and environmental balance, also can have a negative impact on human life and human security, including health, food, and economy An ecological crisis can occur as a result of several factors, one of the causes is technological progress and the industrial revolution, which then led countries to industrialize on a large scale which ultimately resulted in a lot of damage.
 Fadhlan Nur Hakiem as a Lecturer in International Relations also provided the right solution to overcome the ecological crisis.
Arcording to him, "I believe in the human security approach. Human security has four characteristics. The most important thing is that security is human-oriented. So what must be protected is the human being, what is the right solution, every policy must be human-oriented, To citizens, protecting individuals is not protecting the country. That's the first thing. The second orientation must be on prevention. In the context of human security, it means something that hasn't happened yet, then we have to prevent it. If it has happened, we have to deal with it of course. Examples include the Paris agreement. Agreement on how to keep the earth's temperature at 1.5 degrees. Don't let it reach 2 degrees. That's prevention. Well, every actor in international relations has a task. With each individual capacity, countries have a task, international organizations have a task, we as individuals also have a task. to our respective capacities. because the state is the highest organization that has "Her" sovereignty, we must demand that we be more serious in dealing with ecological problems. As individuals, we must be aware that we care about the environment. "So the best solution is, as I see it, we move towards prevention efforts and we must encourage all actors to be actively involved in handling the ecological crisis," said Fadhlan when interviewed directly.
Students as agents of change have a very important role in helping and facing the challenges of the ecological crisis, the simplest example is throwing rubbish in its place, protecting and preserving the surrounding environment, carrying out environmentally friendly activities. Apart from that, students can also play an active role in environmental advocacy and education. holding seminars, outreach campaigns and social actions to increase public awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. Through social media platforms and community activities, messages about environmental protection will spread widely and inspire many people to take action. And the need for collaboration and good relations between the academic community and local government. According to Fadlan, "a good relationship with the government is important in my opinion so that universities and the academic community can express certain values, especially in this context, the value of environmental preservation."
