Savior Boat

Lampulo boat or known as a boat above the house is a hirostical tourist spot in Aceh. This boat is lacated in Lampulo village, Kuta Alam district, Banda Aceh. To reach this place you can use public or private transpotation with a travel time of approximately 10 minutes from the city of Banda Aceh. This boat was a boat belonging to a fisherman used to find fish in the sea. Then the boat was hit by a tsunami wave. Around 59 people on this boat survived from the tsunami.

Lampulo Boat Facilities

After the tsunami, the Acehnese government took the initiative to renovate and build this place to become a tourist spot. There are built to provide comfortable for tourist. The facilities such as public toilets, spacious parking area, prayer rooms and this place is also equipped with a mini museum to commemorate the tsunami tragedy. Around the boat there are also stalls that sell various types of culinary. Tourist can taste traditional Acehnese food like Mie Aceh.

Tips to visit the Lampulo Boat :

• Bring a hat or jacket because the weather in this place is very hot
• The great time to come here is in the afternoon, because you can see the sunset from the boat.
• Keep being careful when climb the stairs and heading to the boat
• Always take care of the preservation of this place
• Don't litter!
• Does not damage the collection in the museum.
