Many Indonesian People Lack Interest in Learning English

Many Indonesian people lack interest in learning English, despite its global importance. This is due to a variety of factors such as limited practice, ineffective learning methods, fear of failure, and lack of social support. These factors make many people uninterested or even afraid of learning English. In my experience, most children are afraid of learning English because they think English is difficult to learn, even though they just lack the motivation that supports them to learn English. When they speak English in the neighborhood, other people will label them as people who don't respect the English language so that their excitement to practice English goes down. In the school environment also, learning English is much disliked because the learning methods are less effective and make them bored. Learning methods must be improved so that children are interested in learning english. English as an international language is very important to learn, because it can help us as the younger generation to be able to show ourselves in the international arena.
