Besides that, in the example of the second case that happened exactly in the community, they liked to snack on fast food and chose soft drinks. Though it was clear the food was as bad as food that flies infested with. These foods can damage the function of some parts of the body.

And also when plastic straws that customers use to help the process of swallowing food have been innovated replacing them with stainless straws, but this is just as bad when people use plastic straws. Why does this happen? There are two things that make plastic straws and stainless straws just as bad. In terms of worsening health and worsening the environment.

First, it's not just plastic straws that make health worse. It turns out that, stainless straws too. Basically, most disposable plastic straws are made of polypropylene, a type of plastic made from petroleum.

The material is actually considered safe by the Food and Drug Administration. However, this material can be absorbed into the liquid and can release compounds that affect estrogen levels, especially when exposed to heat, acidic beverages or UV light.

Thus, this material can cause a number of long-term health problems, such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and others. While stainless straws, these straws are actually the same as the spoon and or fork that we use at home stainless steel material.

So there is no period of time how important it must be in a hygienic state. This is the beginning of the problem, if someone does not wash this stainless straw thoroughly it will be able to disrupt the digestive tract because there are many bacteria that enter the human body.

So it is very necessary to pay attention to the problem of cleanliness in the process of washing stainless in straws even though this straw is said to be better than plastic straws, but it would be the same meaning if not paying attention to it thoroughly.

Second, environmental problems. In Indonesia, the estimated use of plastic straws reaches 93,244,847 stems per day. Naturally, these plastic straws cannot be recycled and it takes around 200 years for these plastic straws to break under normal environmental conditions. As a result, straws often scattered and ended up polluting the ocean.

And not just polluting the ocean, in fact this plastic straw can also endanger all living things that live in the ocean. One of them is the case of a turtle whose nose is pierced by a plastic straw 10 centimeters off the coast of Costa Rica. Another case in stainless straws. Instead of getting better, it turns out the process of making stainless straws have been problematic before use.

This straw is made from a mixture of iron, carbon, and chromium, which in its manufacture involves cutting down trees and digging the soil. Chemical processes also need to be carried out so that iron and chromium can be purified from other minerals.

Ex-mining pits are often left without responsibility from the perpetrators, until a dangerous lake is formed. This lake can be dangerous for children who live around it because they might slip and sink into the lake.
