A gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. Global warming, also referred to as climate change, is the observed century-scale rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system and its related effects. Multiple lines of scientific evidence show that the climate system is warming.

Global warming happen because release of harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, some gasses can't past the atmosphere that make the gasses trapped. There are several caused of global warming:

Deforestation

Trees and plants store carbon, they also produce oxygen and are natural prevents against global warming. When forest are cleared carbon dioxide release back to the atmosphere. The more forest are cut, the more carbon dioxide are back to atmosphere, and it is effect to earth's atmosphere.

Methane release

Methane is a greenhouse gas that occurs naturally when organic matter is broken down by bacteria when very little oxygen is present. Methane is emitted during the production and transport of coal, natural gas, and oil. Methane emissions also result from livestock and other agricultural practices and by the decay of organic waste in municipal solid waste landfills.

CFC's

Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) are a group of compounds which contain the elements chlorine, fluorine and carbon. CFC's are unlikely to have any direct impact on the environment in the immediate vicinity of their release.

As VOCs, they may be slightly involved in reactions to produce ground level ozone, which can cause damage to plants and materials on a local scale. At a global level however, releases of CFC's have serious environmental consequences. Their long lifetimes in the atmosphere mean that some end up in the higher atmosphere (stratosphere) where they can destroy the ozone layer, thus reducing the protection it offers the earth from the sun's harmful UV rays.

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas or nitrous, is a chemical compound , an oxide of nitrogen with the formula N2O. Nitrogen oxide occurs naturally and also as a result of man's activities. In environmental conditions it is a colorless, sweet smelling gas. Nitrous oxide also damages the ozone layer, thus reducing the protection offered from harmful UV sun rays.

Carbon Dioxide

Carbon dioxide plays a significant role in global warming. Factories and vehicles produce large amounts of harmful carbon dioxide by burning fossil fuels that create carbon dioxide emissions. These emissions have a negative impact on the earth because carbon dioxide gas traps heat, which causes the earth's temperature to rise.

Carbon dioxide is the climate's worst enemy. It's released when oil, coal, and other fossil fuels are burned for energy---the energy we use to power our homes, cars, and smartphones. By using less of it, we can curb our own contribution to climate change while also saving money. Here are several easy, effective ways each one of us can make a difference:

  1. Replacing just 1 incandescent light bulb with 1 compact florescent bulb saves about 150 pounds of carbon dioxide per year! If every American household replaced just 5 high-use incandescent bulbs with compact florescent lights we'd collectively save more than $8 billion each year in energy costs and we would prevent the greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions from nearly 10 million cars.
  2. Turning off lights when it not use saves energy and money. The more energy used, the more rivers are dammed or more fossil fuel is burned, causing air pollution and increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
  3. Let us walked, bicycled, or took public transportation. Our reliance on cars that burn fossil fuels is one of the major causes of increased levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and it is the primary cause of urban smog.
  4. Reduce use container soft drink and meal. Throwing away containers of any kind wastes energy and resources and adds to our waste problem. Many towns are running out of landfill space.
  5. Decrease eat fresh vegetables instead of canned or frozen. Fresh vegetables cook more quickly and are usually more nutritious than frozen or canned foods. Canned and frozen vegetables are often over-processed, contain additives, contribute to air pollution (transport and packaging) and add to our waste problem.
  6. Hairdryers use a lot of energy. In the morning so much energy demand is put on our grids that power companies have to find other sources of energy just to meet the morning rush hour.
  7. Making paper and plastic bags uses energy and resources. The bags add to our litter and waste problems, and plastic is not biodegradable. Recycling is not the best answer because collecting and recycling materials requires energy. Instead, carry a reusable cloth bag or a knapsack with you.
  8. Diminish eat take-out or cafeteria food that is served in foam or plastic containers. Polystyrene and other plastic containers are made from precious petrochemicals, do not decompose in landfills, and release toxic gases when they are burned in incinerators.
  9. Paper comes from trees. The more of it we use, the more trees that are cut down. it will more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
  10. Rethink planes, trains, and automobiles. Choosing to live in walk-able smart growth cities and towns with quality public transportation leads to less driving, less money spent on fuel, and less pollution in the air. Less frequent flying can make a big difference, too. Air transport is a major source of climate pollution."If you can take a train instead, do that."

Let us make a difference one watt at a time and safe our planet before become a fireball.
