Define Art that related in our everyday lives

The word ‘Art’ is most commonly associated with pieces of work in a gallery or museum, whether it’s a painting from the Renaissance or a modern sculpture. However, there is so much more to art than what you see displayed in galleries. The truth is,without being aware of it, we are surrounded by art and use it on a continual basis. Most people don’t realize how much of a role art plays in our lives and just how much we rely on art in all of its forms in our everyday lives.

Living is different from surviving.
Living involves accessing your creative self. Theart of living means you are directly and actively involved in constructing your life just as an architect plans and maps out the structure before executing theacting of building. Like wise you are the architect of your own life.
Art means being creative and requires that you question the limits within which you actively live your life.
Enjoying your life.

It basically means that living a life that has a meaning. It has some relevance. To be happy & make others happy. A life full of joy where we are living it up for today & not for tomorrow.
A life where life is itself satisfied

The art of living, simply explained as the art of doing things in a much-better way, so that you can enjoy your living moments much-better. It is a socially-enriching way of your leading your own life. It really helps you to have a better living.

Art in some form or another has existed as long as man. It is a part of our daily lives and is present in cultures across the world. Art is everywhere, influencing us on our daily basis, whether we realize it or not. With the art that we are surrounded by, whether it’s a painting, music or even videos can have a huge impact on our mood and emotions. Of course some art is very dark and can cause disturbing emotions, anger or even depression but we can choose what kind of art we want to be surrounded by in our own environment at home to make you feel good. All kinds of art can affect our mood in a positive way, making us feel happier, calmer, or even inspired to do something.

Art gives us meaning. There are things that cannot be understood with pure reason—like love and beauty, to name two. Art helps us understand our world.
It does that because it helps us transcend our world. Art has the power to point us to the spiritual aspect of humans. It doesn’t answer all the questions, but it can shine a light on questions we didn’t even know we had.
And art requires something of us. At the most basic level it can stir us to gratitude. But it can also awaken the creative imperative in us. As people we have to do more than merely produce. We have to create, to express, to give life to the ideas inside us.

Everywhere you go art is evident. Parks often use sculptures to add interest and to inform people. Posters on walls give information and motivation. Music plays on the radio to keep your energy levels up. Without even realizing it we find ourselves immersed in the power of art most of the time! so that's why it is important to take some time to appreciate the art itself. Most people have an appreciation for art. They enjoy observing it or creating it, they may even support it financially or by volunteering.

Art is integral in our culture because it provides us with a deeper understanding of emotions, self-awareness, and more. That's why these are the following reasons why I believe everyone needs art in their lives.

First, It is a natural part of us. There is a drive within all of us to create and express ourselves through art. Observe any child with a box full of crayons and a piece of paper and you will see it. I believe that drive comes from a need to achieve a balance within ourselves. That balance is felt when you are creating something exactly as you wish it to be. Sometimes other forms of communication may fail to allow us to express ourselves completely, and this is when we turn to art.

Second,  Records the emotions of society. It is important that we know our history. We learn the dates, people and places of important events, and we even learn why and how they occurred. Art gives us a different insight into our history. It shows us how those events impacted the people living them. Through art we learn the joy felt during times of happiness and we see the pain and despair during times of suffering. We see the hopes and the dreams, or the fears and regrets of the past. Through art we gain a better understanding of how the events throughout history have shaped us into what we are today.

Third, it helps us achieve a better self-awareness. We live in a fast-paced world of quick decisions and fragmented thoughts. Creating art allows us to slow down and experience the full range of our emotions. Viewing the art of others can give rise to emotions within us and help us explore and interpret what we are feeling. Understanding our emotions can help us heal, grow and improve ourselves. Increasing our self-awareness through art can lead to more success both personally and professionally.

Fourth, it helps to encourages critical thinking and better communication. When we create art we make decisions throughout the entire process. When we view art we make decisions on how to interpret what we are seeing. We use logic and reason to attribute meaning to what we see or what we create. Because art has such an emotional connection to us, these choices are passionate to us. We learn to defend them and explain them to others. Art not only helps strengthen our critical thinking skills, but improves the way we communicate our thoughts and emotions to others.

And last, it bridges the gap between cultures. Through art we gain a better understanding of cultures in the past, but it also gives us insight into various cultures of present day. There are no distance or language barriers in art, it is universal. By observing the creations of people from other cultures we can gain a better understanding of their lives. Through art we are able to get a glimpse of another person’s existence through their eyes. It is a powerful tool that can improve communication and relationships between cultures.

6. Improves our daily lives. Art can make a community more beautiful. It makes the spaces we work in more interesting. Our homes reflect our personalities through the art we choose to display. It can inspire us, make us happy, or even motivate us. Living in a purely functional world would lack meaning for us as human beings. We need to express ourselves through art and we need to surround ourselves with the expressions of others. We always have, and we always will.

The Joy of Art

You may be wondering why all of these things are so important to our daily lives and that you could probably survive just fine with essential items that were non-artistic. That is just the reason why art is so valuable! While art may not be vital to fulfill our basic needs, it does make life joyful. When you look at a painting or poster you’ve chosen to hang on your living room wall, you feel happy. These varieties of art forms that we are surrounded by all come together to create the atmosphere that we want to live in, which is personable to us.

If you want to really find joy, make space in your life to create things of beauty. Don’t merely consume—contribute, create, fashion, and share.
There are other ways to get more art in your life, but the important thing to do is find some ways that work for you and then get going.
If we try to run our lives on the metrics, we’ll end up bored and empty. Art can elevate and enable us to live lives deep in meaning, rich in joy, and full of creativity

If you want to find more creativity, satisfaction, and happiness, the single best solution I know is adding more art to your life. ~Michael Hyatt

just like what Michael Hyatt said, to find more creativity, the best solution is adding more art to your life. How? These are 3 Ways to Get More Art into Your Life

First, Cultivate a taste for beauty. As with so much in life, making room for art starts with intention. Take time to notice beauty. When we hear or see something stirring, we should comment on it to deepen the impression. Talk about it with someone close to you. Share it if possible. However you approach it, make it a priority.

Second, Set art-related goals. How many of last year’s Academy Award-winning movies have you seen? How many of the great novels like The Brothers Karamazov or Moby Dick have you read? Make some lists of artistic works you want to experience and then get a plan to do so. Planning is the first step to doing.

Third, Revisit your childhood hobbies or interests. What if you can’t think of any types of art you want to pursue? Go back to those things that got you excited as a teenager—possibly the same time that part of you got shut down. Did you draw, write, paint, or play an instrument? Even if you don’t go that direction now, it may open up doors for other kinds of art that work for you today. Actually there's so much more than that but those are the example that I recommend to add more art into your life.

Here are some of the best ways creative expression can benefit your brain and mental health to make you a happier, healthier person.

Creating Art Relieves Stress
Activities like painting, sculpting, drawing, and photography are relaxing and rewarding hobbies that can lower your stress levels and leave you feeling mentally clear and calm. Creating art provides a distraction, giving your brain a break from your usual thoughts. The average person has 60,000 thoughts per day and 95% of them are exactly the same day in, day out! When you get totally immersed in a creative activity, you may find yourself in what’s known as “the zone” or in a state of “flow.” This meditative-like state focuses your mind and temporarily pushes aside all your worries. Creating art trains you to concentrate on details and pay more attention to your environment. In this way, it acts like meditation.

Art Encourages Creative Thinking
Art enhances problem-solving skills. Unlike math, there is no one correct answer in art. Art encourages creative thinking and lets you come up with your own unique solutions. Out-of-the-box thinking also stimulates your brain to grow new neurons. Contrary to popular belief, creative thinking does not mean using the right side of your brain. It involves getting both hemispheres of your brain communicating with each other. The concept of left-brain right-brain dominance never had a strong foundation in science in the first place, and now this theory has been totally debunked. The most complicated activities humans do, such as learning a language or playing or listening to music, require whole brain thinking.

Art Boosts Self-Esteem and Provides a Sense of Accomplishment
You may stick your kids’ artwork on the refrigerator door to boost their self-esteem. Hanging your latest work of art on the wall can instill in you the same feeling. Creating art increases the “feel good” neurotransmitter dopamine. Dopamine has been called the “motivation molecule.” It boosts drive, focus, and concentration. It enables you to plan ahead and resist impulses so you can achieve your goals. It gives you that “I did it!” lift when you accomplish what you set out to do. Dopamine stimulates the creation of new neurons and prepares your brain for learning.  You don’t have to produce fine art. Crafting hobbies of all kinds — knitting, quilting, sewing, drawing, photography, woodworking, gardening, and do-it-yourself home repair — increase dopamine, ward off depression, and protect the brain from aging.

Art Increases Brain Connectivity
Every time you engage in a new or complex activity, your brain creates new connections between brain cells. Your brain’s ability to grow connections and change throughout your lifetime is called brain plasticity or neuroplasticity. Creating art stimulates communication between various parts of the brain. In this way, creating art has been proven to increase psychological resilience and resistance to stress. It’s thought that intelligence depends more on the number of brain connections than the size of your brain.

Art Increases Empathy, Tolerance, and Feelings of Love
A study of over 10,000 students found that a one-hour trip to an art museum changed the way they thought and felt. Students who visited a museum not only showed increased critical thinking skills, they also exhibited greater empathy towards how people lived in the past and expressed greater tolerance towards people different than themselves. Professor Semir Zeki, a neurobiologist at the University College London, discovered that simply the act of viewing art gives pleasure, much like falling in love. Brain scans revealed that looking at works of art trigger a surge of dopamine into the same area of the brain that registers romantic love.

And that's all I see and know about the art in living our basis lives, hope this article will help you to grow yourself into a much better person through art that "we" put into our lives. because art still have so many benefits and advantages that we still can get from it.
