Third, it helps us achieve a better self-awareness. We live in a fast-paced world of quick decisions and fragmented thoughts. Creating art allows us to slow down and experience the full range of our emotions. Viewing the art of others can give rise to emotions within us and help us explore and interpret what we are feeling. Understanding our emotions can help us heal, grow and improve ourselves. Increasing our self-awareness through art can lead to more success both personally and professionally.

Fourth, it helps to encourages critical thinking and better communication. When we create art we make decisions throughout the entire process. When we view art we make decisions on how to interpret what we are seeing. We use logic and reason to attribute meaning to what we see or what we create. Because art has such an emotional connection to us, these choices are passionate to us. We learn to defend them and explain them to others. Art not only helps strengthen our critical thinking skills, but improves the way we communicate our thoughts and emotions to others.

And last, it bridges the gap between cultures. Through art we gain a better understanding of cultures in the past, but it also gives us insight into various cultures of present day. There are no distance or language barriers in art, it is universal. By observing the creations of people from other cultures we can gain a better understanding of their lives. Through art we are able to get a glimpse of another person’s existence through their eyes. It is a powerful tool that can improve communication and relationships between cultures.

6. Improves our daily lives. Art can make a community more beautiful. It makes the spaces we work in more interesting. Our homes reflect our personalities through the art we choose to display. It can inspire us, make us happy, or even motivate us. Living in a purely functional world would lack meaning for us as human beings. We need to express ourselves through art and we need to surround ourselves with the expressions of others. We always have, and we always will.

The Joy of Art

You may be wondering why all of these things are so important to our daily lives and that you could probably survive just fine with essential items that were non-artistic. That is just the reason why art is so valuable! While art may not be vital to fulfill our basic needs, it does make life joyful. When you look at a painting or poster you’ve chosen to hang on your living room wall, you feel happy. These varieties of art forms that we are surrounded by all come together to create the atmosphere that we want to live in, which is personable to us.

If you want to really find joy, make space in your life to create things of beauty. Don’t merely consume—contribute, create, fashion, and share.
There are other ways to get more art in your life, but the important thing to do is find some ways that work for you and then get going.
If we try to run our lives on the metrics, we’ll end up bored and empty. Art can elevate and enable us to live lives deep in meaning, rich in joy, and full of creativity

If you want to find more creativity, satisfaction, and happiness, the single best solution I know is adding more art to your life. ~Michael Hyatt

just like what Michael Hyatt said, to find more creativity, the best solution is adding more art to your life. How? These are 3 Ways to Get More Art into Your Life

First, Cultivate a taste for beauty. As with so much in life, making room for art starts with intention. Take time to notice beauty. When we hear or see something stirring, we should comment on it to deepen the impression. Talk about it with someone close to you. Share it if possible. However you approach it, make it a priority.

Second, Set art-related goals. How many of last year’s Academy Award-winning movies have you seen? How many of the great novels like The Brothers Karamazov or Moby Dick have you read? Make some lists of artistic works you want to experience and then get a plan to do so. Planning is the first step to doing.
