Budi Darma, he is a passionate writer. His works are as brief tales, books, articles, and sonnets which have been spread in different broad communications, both locally and abroad, and the majority of them have been distributed. In any case, he is also called an artist, writer, and writer. Budi Darma was born on 25th April 1937 in Rembang, Central Java. He is the fourth son of six children who are all of the is boys. Budi Darma completed his education at the Department of Western Literature, Faculty of Letters UGM (1963). He also studied at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, USA (1970-1971), then earned an MA from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA (1976), and earned a Ph.D. from the same university (1980).Â
He held the position of Visiting Research Associate at Indiana University. Budi Darma's name was also immortalized in Who's Who in The World and the Encyclopedia of Indonesian Writers.Â

An avid writer will never run out of ideas. He emphasized the importance of imagination in short stories. Seno said how the attitude in the concept used by Budi Darma in making a work.Â
Budi Darma's writing attitude tends to be frank, which then often gives birth to stories that according to Harry Aveling in the Indonesian Literature House (2002) as "a world of horror, very cruel, devoid of humanity, and absolutely not concerned with logic." writing that brings misery on the other hand also makes him happy. For him, the path of authorship has made him open up about many things, even though sometimes it is only in wishful thinking.Â
