Summary

This article Discuss about a Social work informatics : A new specialty. This project are collaborate by The National Association of Social Work (NASW) and the Association of social work boards (ASWB) in an intiative the recognizes the invaluable role of technology in social work practice and education. Based on human service professions have successfully recognized the value of informatics expecially in bioinformatics a multidisciplinary field consisting of biology,etc. and this term has not been defined, although it has been used in the literature. Them purpose to define social work informatics similary to NI as a combination of computer science, informatics science and socal work desained to assist in the management and processing of Data. The trained challenges are evident in the literature of both informatics and social work. In contemporary society. And one of the central clinical issues for social work practice involves the ability to assess visual nonverbal behavior.

This social workers are trained to observe clients’ non verbal clues as they interact, using these behavior as an important component in overall assessment. Such an approach can lead to an improvement or redesign of the tool based on the feedback provided by social workers and their clients. In accordance with the initiative by the ANA to develop a list of informatics competencies expected of beginning nurse, it could be argued that similar competencies should be defined for social workers

Evaluation

The Author’s emphasize in this article is about Social Work Informatics : A new Specialty, make a technology is more valuable to using in the positive work especially to increase the performance of work.

Critical Analysis

I agree with the author’s idea in this article about “Social Work Informatics : A new Specialty” because the technology are valuable to increase the social work by the professional practice with introducing the technology more.

Conclusion

A final project of this Article “Social Work Informatics : A new Specialty” to introduction of technology into social work practice was met with controversy on numerous fronts, social work scholars have expressed concerns related to the benefits of technology, including inequality in access. The NASW intiative to revice professional standars and recognize the increasing number of member using technology is at a critical stage, then must get the collaborating with experienced IT professional to find innovative ways to improve care to underserved populations, and with collaborating can address the current controversies of the profession through interdisciplinary problem solving and innovation combined with outcome-based data collection.
