Opening of Practicum II (Community Organizing and Empowerment) in Dadaprejo

Multimedia Practikum II Kelompok 7 Kesejahteraan Sosial FISIP UMM

Malang, January 23rd, 2025 - Students of Social Welfare Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang held an opening and handover of Practicum II (Community Organizing and Empowerment) in Dadaprejo Village, Batu City.

This activity was attended by the village officials and its staff, Mr. Suroso as the Head of the Community Empowerment Division in Dadaprejo, Academic Supervisor and Leader of Social Welfare Study Program, Mr. Dr. Fauzik Lendriyono, M. Si, Assistant Supervisor, and Students.

In his remarks, Mr. Suroso said, "We are very proud and grateful for being entrusted with students to do practicum in our place. We from the village will be ready to help students during practicum. We hope that students can work together in advancing the village."

Mr. Dr. Fauzik Lendriyono, M.Si said that students will carry out several activities, one of which is social mapping, which includes human and natural resources in Dadaprejo. This is one of the experiments given to students to help them to be better. We hope that students can be active in coordinating, consulting, and communicating with local officials.

It is an honor for us to do Practicum II (Community Organizing and Empowerment) to have the experience and opportunity to continue learning in the community for the next 1 month, from (01/25) to (02/25). So, M. Zidhan Ramadhani, the coordinator of group 7 (representing all practicum members) expressed his gratitude for allowing us to carry out the practicum in Dadaprejo and asked them to guide and give directions to us.
