Finally, Accusations of Identity Politics to Anies Evaproted

Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Ph.D. the presidential candidate from the NasDem Party has been widely discussed by the public regarding slander as the father of identity politics.

Responding to this, at the launch of the book "People's Saying About Anies Baswedan," the writer and chairman of the Turuntangan Movement Mr. M. Chozin Amirullah said that everyone has an identity. Not only through an official identity in the form of an ID card , but the clothes one wears can also show one's identity.

"Despite all that, the contents of this book are more honest in expressing the direct experiences of the people who benefited and shared progress from the policies implemented by Anies Baswedan when he was Governor of DKI Jakarta," Chozin told KBA News in South Jakarta, Friday, January 13, 2023 .

Moreover, Chozin considered such attacks to be commonplace. He also reacted casually to these accusations.

"So actually we are used to getting various accusations," he said.

Then, Anies Baswedan's supporters and sympathizers are now used to hearing these accusations. Later such accusations will disappear by itself from the track record of Indonesia's founding fathers teaching. Because the volunteers are now focusing on Anies Baswedan's goal of becoming president in 2024.

"I see our volunteers have also become used to it too, focused on the goal," he added.

"The accusation will disappear by itself because we are not conveying words but conveying facts. We don't convey words, but convey facts," he added.

He delivers a message to all Anies Baswedan volunteers to keep fighting because victory is always in the hands of fighters

"For our volunteers, keep fighting, keep moving forward because success is always in the hands of the fighters. Victory is always in the hands of warriors, "he concludes.

Author and Chairperson of the Turuntangan Movement M. Chozin Amirullah said the book entitled 'People's Words About Anies' comes from a sense of anxiety about the condition of the nation and country that we both love.

He assessed that the nation's increasingly chaotic condition made the people long for a leader who would provide shade, be pious and full of solidarity and protection, such as Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Ph.D.

"People are more honest in expressing their experiences. So this book is more open, honest and without any tendencies," said Chozin to KBA News, Friday, January 13, 2023.

He appreciated the people who were present at the book review as well as the launch of the book People's Words About Anies at Duren Tiga House, Pancoran, South Jakarta.

"Yes, yes, there are many who come and I think they get a lot of inspiration about the figure of Anies Baswedan," he said.

In addition, Chozin saw that the expressions of the people present were very different when they heard the explanation when collecting data from the victims of the previous governor's eviction. When Anies became Governor for the 2017-2022 period he gave the small community good attention, he said.

"I can see from his expression that they seem to get new things from the information they get," he added

"But this is from something new, because the perspective of the ordinary people about Mas Anies is written in this book and that maybe sometimes they may experience something themselves too, right? Or are they completely new, "he continued.

Chozin says it's hard to manage this book about time. Because of her and other writers, Ina Aie Tanamas has other activities. Meanwhile, regarding information or data, there is no difficulty.

"The difficulty may be about managing time because each of us is busy. So set the time for editing, writing, including pursuing sources," he said.

Former Chancellor of the Jakarta Ibnu Chaldun University (UIC), Professor Musni Umar, also responded to the slander attacks aimed at the Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2017-2022 period. He emphasized that the repeated attacks on Anies would not be believed by the Indonesian people.

"Any slander that is made to undermine Anes Baswedan will not be believed by the people of DKI and the people of Indonesia," Musni said via his Twitter account, quoted by KBA News, Friday, January 13, 2023.

The upload was submitted by an urban sociologist from the University of Indonesia in response to an upload by social media user @maspiyu_aja who criticized Anies for slander.

The @maspiyu_aja account criticized the buzzers' cunning ways to spread fake news by paying for Instagram ads attacking Anies.

Musni also said that Anies' track record while leading the capital city of Jakarta cannot be denied that the former Minister of Education and Culture has succeeded in building Jakarta into a global city.

"Facts cannot be denied. Anies has succeeded in building Jakarta as a global city that is advanced, safe and peaceful," he said. []
