Mount Ijen is one of the famous sulfur mining activities in Indonesia.

You can see sulfur miners carrying two baskets made of bamboo filled

with yellow sulfur on their shoulders.According to a local tour guide

he said that there are about 50 miners every day. Ijen Crater sulfur

miners have been extracting sulfur here since 1968, they work at night

alongside a stunning blue fire for tourists to escape the hot sun.

Miners extract sulfur rock, which forms after a blue fire goes out and

leaves sulfur behind. They then carried this sulfur into a basket on

the side of the mountain to sell for their daily income.
