Take A Peek At The Splendor of Jakarta's Formula E Circuit

The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, managed to amaze the Indonesian people, especially Jakarta residents, with the splendor of the circuit that will be used as the venue for the Jakarta 2022 Formula E racing, namely the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol.

The Jakarta 2022 Formula E race will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022. This event will be the first time for Indonesia to host a Formula E race. There is no need to doubt the quality of JIEC, with international-scale facilities capable of making the public, especially racing lovers, come directly to witness the historic race for Indonesia.

In the process of construction, the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit was built very quickly and only took less than 2 months. This circuit is designed to be unique and different from other existing circuits, because JIEC is designed with a track inspired by the traditional Javanese dance, Kuda Lumping. The magnificent circuit has a length of 2.37 kilometers with a width of 12 meters and a straight track along the 600 meters. 

The JIEC track is also equipped with 18 corners which have different widths at some of the corners. The track has also been arranged in such a way as to create an interesting racing arena with its own set of challenges. Based on the claims of the Jakarta E-Prix 2022 Organizing Committee (OC), the design of the JIEC racing arena is considered difficult for other countries to follow. 

The reason is, JIEC has an Attack Mode that allows overtake to occur which adds to the attractiveness of the Formula E spectacle.

The majesty of JIEC is also supported by a very beautiful view around the circuit, which is squeezed by the stretch of the Jakarta Strait and the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). When viewed from a certain height, the view of the circuit in Ancol is no less beautiful than the circuits in other countries. According to Mrs.

"JIEC has succeeded in making people interested in Formula E, even before I myself did not participate in Formula E racing, but because Formula E is held in Jakarta (JIEC) so I participated in watching this racing event and am very proud of this magnificent circuit".
