Introduction
In 2011, there were 139,582 followers of non-official religions in Indonesia. Spiritual movements in Java emerged from the desire to create a "spiritual concoction" according to local culture. Ponorogo is a center for various spiritual movements, with 83 groups present at the 5th Indonesian Spiritual Congress. The Ponorogo government had difficulty collecting data on spiritual movements in Pudak District, so a web-based geographic information system was built to map and present the data.
Summary
This study aims to develop a map-based website for spiritualism in Pudak District using WordPress and Leaflet. This system applies Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and follows the waterfall model, which includes needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The map website displays the coordinates of villages in Pudak District, the types of spiritualism in each village, and the number of followers. Functionality testing shows that the system runs as expected. User assessment through a questionnaire shows 89.3% satisfaction with the designed web media.
Analysis
This study aims to develop a geographic information system (GIS) website to map spiritual flows in Pudak District. Data collection methods involve observation and interviews, which are effective in collecting specific data on spiritual flows.
Personal Opinion
This journal makes an important contribution to geographic information systems and software development, but data from observations and interviews may not cover all relevant aspects. System testing was only conducted in two stages, so additional testing is needed to ensure long-term stability and security. An explanation of how this system can improve knowledge and services to spiritual believers in the future is also needed.
Recommendation
This journal is recommended for Informatics Engineering students who want to study geographic information systems, system developers as inspiration and practical examples, and the government to improve services to spiritual believers. Researchers and academic writers can use it as a research reference, while the general public can understand the spiritual flow in Pudak District and the benefits of information systems.
Critical Analyst
This study has the strength in presenting specific and relevant information about the spiritual flow in Pudak District. However, improvements need to be made in several aspects such as data limitations, testing limitations, long-term benefits, integration with other systems, and further development to improve the quality and usefulness of this information system.
Conclusion
This study successfully provided information about spiritual movements in each village in Pudak District through a web-based geographic information system, which can improve knowledge and services for spiritual adherents in the area.
