Uncovering Cultural Wealth, Technological Solutions to Preserve Customs in Ponorogo

The importance of knowledge about the customs of the kebatinan sect in Pudak Sub-district, Ponorogo Regency. The lack of such knowledge has led to incidents of expulsion of students while undergoing a real work study. To overcome this problem, a system was developed using the waterfall software development model. The system is able to display the coordinates of the villages in Pudak Subdi strict as well as the type of mysticism and the number of adherents in each village. The system testing was conducted in two stages, namely functionality test and questionnaire distribution to potential users. The test results show that the system runs as expected and 89.3% of users expressed satisfaction with the designed web media. Although the Ponorogo government is committed to protecting and nurturing the mysticism practitioners, many people are still unaware of their existence as a cultural asset. Therefore, this system is expected to help the government in collecting data and increasing public awareness about the mysticism in the area.
