The little girl is always happy on her birthday.

Lots of cakes and decorated gifts on the table.

Her laughter was heard all the way to the house next door.

Her smile continues to stay on her face until her cheeks are cramped.

The little girl is growing up.

No more cakes and gifts on the table.

She goes to school crying

As well as when she comes home.

Now that girl does not care anymore.

She even often forgets her own birthday

Gifts and cakes are not everything.

Still alive until this moment and being able to finish this sentence already made her unable to believe it.

That she can.

That she survived.

That she could get past what was in his way.

That she is still alive.
