At Adobe MAX 2024 in Miami Beach, we unveiled the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes over 100 new features across Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and more. These updates are designed to give creators greater power and creative possibilities. Throughout 2024, we've continuously delivered innovative tools, such as the Selection Brush in Photoshop, Generative Shape Fill in Illustrator, and an AI-powered audio workflow in Premiere Pro. Today, we’re maintaining this momentum with features that enhance speed, precision, and control in Creative Cloud.
One of the highlights is Adobe Photoshop, which now includes a significant upgrade to the Distraction Removal feature in the Remove tool. This allows users to easily remove unwanted elements, like tourists or power lines, from photos, automatically replacing them with generated background content. Photoshop also benefits from Adobe Firefly generative AI, which powers new capabilities like Generative Fill, Generative Expand, and Generate Similar, giving users more control and options for realistic image generation. In Photoshop (Beta), the Generative Workspace now allows users to explore ideas faster using generative AI, and the Adobe Substance 3D Viewer (beta) is integrated to work with 3D files as Smart Objects.
In Adobe Premiere Pro, we’re introducing Generative Extend, a new AI tool that seamlessly adds frames to the start or end of a video clip, making it easier to hit precise cuts and transitions. Meanwhile, Adobe Illustrator enhances vector design workflows with Objects on Path, improved Image Trace, and the Mockup feature for realistic brand and apparel design.
Adobe InDesign is also adding generative AI features like Generative Expand and Text to Image for enhanced image editing, alongside MathML for better handling of mathematical equations. Additionally, Lightroom now offers Generative Remove, Quick Actions for personalized edits, and Content Credentials to attach digital signatures to photos. Other updates to Lightroom include performance improvements, additional HDR support, and Smart Albums.
We’re also introducing Project Neo (beta), a web-based app for creating 3D content with tools familiar to 2D designers. With Project Neo, users can create and edit 3D shapes, share designs, and continue working with their artwork in Adobe Illustrator. The Adobe Firefly Video Model, introduced earlier this fall, brings generative AI to video creation, and the new Generate Video (Beta) module in Firefly lets users create new video clips using text prompts.
Frame.io, Adobe's creative collaboration platform, has reached a new milestone with Version 4, now generally available. This version enables teams to manage end-to-end creative workflows, review cycles, file transfers, and secure sharing more effectively than ever. Meanwhile, Adobe Express continues to grow with new features like Campaign Creation, Rewrite for text editing, animation tools, and seamless integration with other Adobe apps, making content creation faster and easier for all users.
We’re thrilled to share these innovations with our global creative community, empowering them to achieve more with Adobe Creative Cloud.
