I'm sorry, Michael Jackson, 

It's 2023 and the world is still cruel, 

so cruel. Injustice and pain seem to linger, 

While hope and compassion continue to wither.

We yearned for change, 

a better tomorrow, 

But the shadows of darkness still cast their sorrow. 

Wars ravage lands, tearing lives apart, 

Leaving behind scars etched deep in every heart.

Discrimination persists, 

dividing us all, In a world where unity should stand tall. 

Prejudice blinds our eyes, distorts our view, 

Forgetting the beauty in our differences, too few.

Poverty and hunger grip countless souls, 

As the privileged turn a blind eye, their hearts cold. 

The gap between rich and poor widens each day, 

Leaving the vulnerable in despair, with no say.

Environmental woes continue to unfold, 

Nature's cries for help, often left untold. 

Climate change looms, threatening our existence, 

Yet, greed and ignorance hinder our persistence.

But amidst this cruelty, let us not lose sight, 

Of the power within us to make things right.

 For change begins with a single voice, a single heart, 

Together, we can heal, create a fresh start.

So, I'm sorry, Michael Jackson, for the world we see, 

But let us rise above, let love set us free. 

In unity and compassion, let's forge a new way, 

To overcome the cruelty that lingers today.
