2. The analytical approach theory
       The analytical approach is a foreign policy towards a country influenced by the country's own domestic and national interests. For example, there is cultural diplomacy between Japan and Indonesia through idol groups which represent JKT48 against AKB48. A very vital element which includes the survival of the nation and state, independence, territorial integrity, security, military and economic prosperity is an understanding of national interests. Domestic interests are contained in the activities carried out by JKT 48 in promoting culture in Japan and Indonesia so that domestic needs are met, such as increasing the economy and services of Indonesian companies in Japan.
       Increasing the economy in terms of meeting community needs, such as, first, empowering women through JKT48 members, where cultural diplomacy can support women's empowerment by providing a platform for them to develop in the arts (dance, music, dancing, etc.) and the entertainment industry (music industry, television and entertainment, the digital and social media industry, and the tourism and event industry). Second, increasing community welfare through the success of JKT48 which can have an economic and social impact by creating jobs and work opportunities in various professions, for example (event management, costume design, choreographer, production staff, etc.) and increasing tourism promotion and the local economy through concerts and events held by JKT48 which often attract fans from various regions and provide a boost to the local tourism sector such as (increasing tourist visits, retail and product sales, and culinary business). Meanwhile, the national interests of Indonesia and Japan themselves depend on the needs of the two countries themselves, for example Indonesia's national interests are to be recognized internationally and to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries, while Japan's national interests are to attract sympathy in the eyes of the international world so that many people want to collaborate with him.
       So that countries in the world pay attention to Japan to be able to carry out diplomacy in establishing relations in the form of cooperation. This will certainly have a good effect on Japan in fulfilling its national interests. On the other hand, Japan also often provides assistance to countries that are hit by disasters, for example Indonesia with assistance for poverty alleviation, economic growth and environmental conservation assistance. On the other hand, Indonesia also responded by providing solutions for the Japanese economy by exporting, such as sending raw materials for Japanese production and even the needs of the Japanese people, such as gas and oil. National interests are the main milestone in establishing cooperation between the two countries. In the context of analytical approaches, the interests held by the two countries greatly influence the policies that will be made or implemented by the two countries.
       According to a leading political scientist in international relations, Kenneth N. Waltz himself describes the analytical approach as a theoretical approach that focuses on the structure of the international system. And another expert such as Joseph S. Nye Jr. also highlighted the importance of power analysis in international relations and detailed the various dimensions of power that influence interactions between countries. Where JKT48's involvement in Indonesia can help promote a positive image of Japan in the eyes of the Indonesian people. This group can be a symbol of cooperation between the two countries, and if managed well, can strengthen bilateral relations. So that there will be an exchange of culture and values which can create better understanding between the two communities and promote mutual respect for each other's cultural values.
