First, Indonesia can strengthen maritime cooperation. This conflict can encourage Indonesia's maritime cooperation with regional and international countries, and can expand diplomatic networks in Southeast Asia.

Second, maintaining Indonesia's territorial sovereignty. Indonesia has a national interest in safeguarding and securing its territorial sovereignty in the South China Sea, especially in the northern area of the Natuna Islands. In this case, Indonesia has sovereign rights and can fight for sovereignty claims over the waters around the Natuna Islands, especially waters in the East Sea region.

Third, Indonesia can exploit and explore natural resources. Indonesia's national interests also include sovereign rights to explore and exploit natural resources in the South China Sea, including the northern area of the Natuna Islands.

Fourth, maintaining stability in the North Natuna Sea region. Regional stability in the North Natuna Sea is also in Indonesia's national interest. In this regard, Indonesia must maintain regional stability and security to protect its national interests, and Indonesia can encourage defense improvement, including naval and maritime security (Saragih, 2018).

Fifth, Regional coordination, ASEAN provides a broader framework in handling SCS disputes, including diplomacy and negotiation approaches. In this context, Indonesia and ASEAN seek to bind China in cooperation agreements and declarations of peaceful means

Although Indonesia and ASEAN have taken several steps to deal with the SCS case, this conflict is still ongoing and has not been resolved. Therefore, diplomacy and multilateral frameworks between Indonesia, ASEAN, and China are essential to find suitable solutions and safeguard national interests, as well as regional stability in the South China Sea.

In the context of the South China Sea, Indonesia's interest in international relations is primarily related to its role in maintaining peace and stability in the region. Although Indonesia is not one of the claimants in this territorial dispute, it aims to maintain peace and turn potential conflicts into potential cooperation through productive and effective negotiations for world order with relevant countries. In addition, bilateral relations between Indonesia and China can also affect economic and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries, thus affecting the dynamics of international relations in the region. Therefore, Indonesia's role in the South China Sea issue has a significant impact on international relations, both in its peacekeeping efforts and its impact on economic and diplomatic cooperation with related countries. Indonesia has strategic interests in the South China Sea which are an integral part of the dynamics of international relations. Indonesia's success in managing and utilizing marine resources in the region can bring many important benefits to the country. Therefore, in the case of the South China Sea, the benefits obtained by Indonesia are not only limited to economic aspects, but also include aspects of diplomacy and international image. By playing an active role in this issue, Indonesia can play an important role in shaping the dynamics of positive international relations and contributing to regional stability.
