Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay Sands on Saturday Night Marina Bay Sands was opened last year. But till beginning this year .. it was still under heavy construction. Then the joke was "Marina Bay Sands really live up to its name for being so "sandy" (because of the dust from the construction). The recent opening last month was the art science museum in that lotus shaped building. Entry Fee Cost S$30. Anyway, to go there by the MRT was to take the circle line train to Promenade station. Walking along Raffles Boulevard , the landscape of Singapore downtown totally change from what it was 5 years ago. Marina Bay area used to be a play kite area. I remember I used to have $10 steam boat dinner coupled with bowling game afterwards. Now it's an integrated resort  with casino as its main business. Why is the building shaped like a boat? Why is there a lotus under the boat ? It was said that those who go there are as if they are in a cruise boat ,all night long betting at the casino till they run out of the money. Then even if they want to jump out the boat they can't . The lotus will somehow catch them and throw them back to the boat. Well whether you want to go to casino or not, Marina Bay Sands area is still a great place for recreation. Just walk along the river , enjoy the night scenery , have a good chats with friends/family and watch the laser show at 9pm or  look around the luxury shops in the shopping ranging f rom Ferrari, Harley Davidson, Furla, Ferragamo, etc
