Me and English

Hello readers! I'm Anggelina Putri. People call me Putri. I am a student majoring in English literature at Universitas Negeri Padang and this is my first year. The reason I chose to major in English literature is because I love andbecause relevant to my future career plan. Also, because of my awareness of the benefits and importance of the English language itself. 

There are so many reasons why English is important and has a big impact on us and even the world. According to the statement that I saw from Ms. Leni Marlina's youtube video regarding the reasons why we have to learn English is the first, Learning English is important for us because by learning English we can easily communicate with foreigners. As we know, English is an international language that is very necessary in this century and we can use English in many countries.

 Then, English can give you great opportunities in various fields, especially in your career. English is a global communication language used in many companies, especially multinational companies. English proficiency can be a key requirement for high-paying positions. Also, English gives you access to some of the world class universities.

Also, English allows us to have access to more popular and international culture.referring to one of the top comments on the video, in my opinion it is from @halfadiana9485. "we can watch movies without subtitles or listen to music without looking at the lyrics if we know English well. This not only adds value to our lives, but it also makes me happy." I really agree with this statement because it is from small things like that that we become accustomed to it and can finally become fluent, and there are many other reasons that how important English is.  

Language is a human communication tool. And English is a universal language used by humans all over the world. By speaking English, I can communicate with people all over the world. What if I want to explore the world without communicating? No way, I have to speak English. I am well aware of what I want to do in the future and for that I am also well aware that I can make it happen only with English. So, the meaning of the title me and english is that me is meant for myself who is full of dreams and English as an important thing or my provision to be able to realize those dreams.
