Global Warming is a long-term warming of the planet's temperature and its pace has increased over the past few decades because of the increase of burning fossil fuels. It has increased because of the population growing rapidly and it's causing the greenhouse effect on the Earth's atmosphere.

The greenhouse effect is when the sun's rays penetrate the Earth's atmosphere but the heat cannot escape into space. It's because of the gases that trap the heat from leaving Earth's atmosphere and it's caused by burning fossil fuels. The greenhouse gases can be carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane, or nitrous oxide

Humans are contributing to global warming by increasing the burning of fossil fuels which also increases the greenhouse effect. Since the Industrial Revolution in the late 1700s, the greenhouse effect has increased in quantities and has caused many new problems.

Deforestation

Humans can release carbon dioxide by cutting down forests, because decaying plants including trees, release tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and living trees absorb carbon dioxide, so if we cut down more and more trees, the gas will remain in Earth's atmosphere.

Livestock Farming

Raising cows for meat and milk releases tons of gases like methane and nitrous oxide because of the digestion and manure breakdown and agricultural technology also produces Nitrous Oxide.

Transportation

Transportations like cars, trucks, motorcycle, planes, or tractors, all of them contributes to the greenhouse effect by producing tons and tons of carbon dioxide. Even many electric power plants also use burning fossil fuels.

Coal Mining

Coal Mining contributes to the greenhouse effect because of two reasons when we dig up coal, it releases massive of methane into the Earth's atmosphere and it is from the coal itself. We burn coal to make electricity and this causes to release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

75% of the carbon dioxide will not sway for the next thousand years and 25% of the carbon dioxide will stay forever and this can cause some massive bad effects.

Rising Temperature

The temperature has increased over the past few decades and has increased significantly in this time period because of the burning of fossil fuels.

  • Melting Ice
  • Because of the increased temperature, the North Pole and South Pole have signicantly melting and increasing the sea levels that risk of us well-being.
  • Heat Waves
  • Due to the increased temperature, now it has more intense of heat waves that can risks of our health
  • Disruption of the Ecosystem
  • The change of the temperature can be affected by the disruption and behaviour of the plants and animals, some of them may struggle to adapt and die.

Global Warming has caused us many problems that we have to solved before it becomes too late, These are some solution to stop Global Warming

Saving Energy

Almost all of our energy comes from coal, oil, and gas that contributes to the greenhouse effects. We can use less energy by lowering heating and switching LED lights bulbs. Unplug chargers, electronics and appliances when they are not being used to save energy.

Vehicles

When we are traveling to the mall, the store, or going to our friends house, we use cars or motorcycles that burned petrol and diesel that produce tons of carbon dioxide and for longer distances, we use trains or buses but they also produce Carbon dioxide. We can use electric vehicles like electric cars, electrics motorcycles, or we can walk to our destinations.
