Currently, many prospective leaders, both regional and central leaders, will provide free education for their citizens. They promised that if elected, they would provide a proper education for free. However, in the field the discourse on free education is very unlikely to be implemented. This discourse will find some problems that will occur in real life if it continues. Here are a few paragraphs of reasons why free education is not appropriate in this country.

The first reason, the word free in the discussion indicates that it does not cost a penny. But in fact, there are still school fees. Students will still be charged expenses such as buying sportswear, uniforms and other school needs. This is because the assistance provided only helps with operations, such as the cost of electricity, water, textbooks, and others. That's not enough because the school also needs operational costs that must be paid every day, such as photocopying costs, markers, and others. So schools will definitely continue to charge their students. Therefore, the word free in this discourse is not appropriate and is nothing more than a sweetener.

The second reason, if it is free, students will not have a sense of responsibility. They will go around the school because according to them school does not require the slightest sacrifice. However, if they pay students will have a very high responsibility to learn. They will take lessons seriously at school. because they will think, if they don't study seriously, then they will lose money.

Furthermore, if the government remains committed to free education, it means that the government will disburse funds. However, the problem here is not the funds, but the process of disbursing funds which will cause several problems. As is well known, disbursement of funds is usually carried out by the central government, so to reach school funds one has to go through several posts first. This will create opportunities for crime. There will be people who cut funding on the grounds of administrative costs. As a result, funds for schools are no longer intact as before.

Moreover, this funding will last a very long time. In fact, it takes months - months to get to school. In fact, the school is very expensive – costs to finance the school's operational needs that must be paid. As a result, these schools cannot run optimally. For example, if there were no markers or photocopies, they would ask students for funds, and in the end, they would not pay either.

Based on the reasons explained above, it can be concluded that free education is just a promise because it is impossible for the medicine to be implemented and if it is implemented it will be ineffective. This is due to several things such as, the funds provided by the government will not be sufficient, making students responsible, and the process is long and difficult. Therefore, the discourse on free education is more appropriate and reasonable if it is replaced with cheap education.
