Their Own Heaven
A Poem By Ananda Putra Faisal
A bite of knowledge
Is the first of every sins
Temptation from the serpent's lips.Â
"Eat my dearest " The serpent murmurs.
And thus innocent gone
The Eden's glow which shines bright
Come to dim upon the sinner
And shame descent.
Together in exile,
Expelled but not forsaken
Forever wary of temptation
A different ground they thread
A harsher light
Walk the world unkind
And yet there's grace to be found
A seed of hope.
To live in their own heaven.
