Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz, also commonly called Eril, who is the first son of the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, was reported missing on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Eril was declared missing because he drowned in the Aare river in Switzerland.
The Swiss police continue to search for Eril using drones, boats, divers, and police dogs.
Until arriving on Wednesday, June 8 2022, Eril was found by the Swiss police at the Engehalde Dam in Bern in a lifeless state.
According to news sources police.be.ch, a man was discovered dead at Bern's Enghalde dam. The man from the forensic results revealed that the victim was an Indonesian citizen who went missing on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
After a DNA test was carried out, it was confirmed that the body found was that of Eril, who had been searching for 14 days.
The Swiss police authorities will hand over Eril's body to the family through the embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and hand it over to the family concerned.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil is relieved that the body of his son, Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz, or Eril, who drowned in Bern's Aare River, has been discovered. He said he felt calmer now.
Eril's body is planned to arrive in the country on Sunday and be buried on Monday.
