Community-based Tourism Development to Improve The Economy of the Sekapuk Village Community

             Setigi tourism started as a former limestone quarry and turned it into a garbage dumps for local residents from 2003--2017. Since there change of village head who has a different vision and mission from the village head previously. One of its visions and missions is to provide tourism to the community around through the former limestone quarry. Since early 2018 held waste cleaning involving non-governmental organizations and PEMDES, activities Cleaning is carried out for 1 year. 

Beginning of development in 2019 and in 2020 it was opened to the public by the village head, Mr. 

Abdul Halim. 

The origin of the naming of Setigi tourism comes from the abbreviations Selo, Tirto,and Giri (Setigi) which each has a meaning, Selo means stone, Tirto means water, and Giri means hill. That is, a massive limestone hill line and long white. Many call it similar to castles Greece. Setigi Tourism is located on Jl. Raya Deandles No. 33-88 Sekapuk Desa Village Ujung Pangkah sub-district, Gresik. This tour presents panoramic beauty natural limestone hills with various forms of caves and overdrafts produced from mining activities several decades ago. Panoramic sunset sun or sunset also adds to the exoticism of this tourist attraction. Rural nature and the friendliness of the people also add to the attractiveness of this tourist attraction. 

The beginning of the establishment of Setigi tourism was because of the idea of Mr. Abdul Halim as the new village head at the time. For his own borders the northern part is still residential and limestone mines, the eastern part is the main road of Sekapuk village, then the western part which is currently still active turned into a limestone mine, and the southern part became the settlement of the villagers kapok. Setigi tourism itself every week nearly 1000 visitors and for 1 month approximately 4000 visitorsArriving at Setigi Tourism, Sekapuk Village, visitors will be treated to the view is a stretch of exotic limestone hills. Added with The typical cool mountain atmosphere will make anyone feel at home in this place this tour. 

This place does have its own charm for tourists, the beauty of the limestone hill that can be used as an instagramble photo spot will spoil the visitors.Setigi tourism has several places and rides to play, namely stairs drajat which consists of 99 steps, when you are at the top of the stairs it will be clear that the triangle of tourism from the top of the peak and also the former sculptures of the limestone miners will look so beautiful, the white bridge, for children's rides the banyu gentong pool, as for the newly launched ride, namely the pool hijabers and a triangle of KI Begawan statue.  

Then the archipelago mask temple, magical gates, semar statues, caves five colors, bridges of civilization, honai traditional houses, floating houses, setigi monuments nogo puspo sculpture. In addition there is also an artificial lake with a bridge, rides water tourism, photo spots, mask walls, to a former mining limestone mountain looks beautiful. Visitors can also go around the tourist arena by car ATVs and mini dirt bikes. 

Not only that, there is also a replica of the mosque with Persian architecture, European-style castils to stylish buildings archipelago such as the Archipelago Mask Temple.Meanwhile to the south of the tourist area there is a cave that in front of it there is a statue of semar.

 In the cave there are 10 pituturs (sentences wise) written in 3 languages, namely Indonesian, English and Javanese With the construction of a 5-hectare tourist complex, this is said to be new managed by half or 75%, so it will try to continue to be developed.Starting from the construction of swimming pools, campgrounds, multipurpose buildings, and connecting wall.7 And this Setigi Tourism is managed by Bumdes Sekapuk which owned by the village government and local villagers, so that beauty is guaranteed and his honesty on the transparency of funds that is always carried out. If the manager If you are not a resident of the village of Sekapuk itself, there will be conflict, therefore,the village head still wants the manager to be an insider aka a villager from that sekapuk alone. 

Although this tourist attraction is still relatively new and still in development,development process, but many tourists have visited the this. In fact, this object has also been used as a background for shooting events Celebrity on Vacation and several other TV station shows. Great again Power This tourist attraction has been visited by foreign tourists several times, including recently tourists from Canada also visited here. If this tourist attraction be developed to the fullest, it does not rule out the possibility in the future will become a tourist attraction or even a leading tourist destination in Indonesia Gresik Regency as well as in East Java.8 Triangle tourism was also chosen for representing Pudak City in the National level competition held by the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs.
