English grammar is the rules and structures used in the use of words, sentences, and phrases in the English language. Grammar includes various elements, such as tenses, parts of speech, sentence structure, word order, articles, agreement, and punctuation. By understanding English grammar, one can use this language more precisely and effectively in oral and written communication.

1. Noun phrases: the building blocks of sentences 

Description: A noun phrase is an important component in a sentence, which serves as the subject or object of the sentence. In this section we will discuss the structure and function of noun phrases. Grammatical Patterns: Determinants +Adjectives + Nouns.

Grammatical Patterns: Determinants + Adjectives + Nouns 

Example sentences:

  • Beautiful sunsets color the sky with bright colors.
  • My sister's new puppy is cute and energetic.

2. Verb Tenses: Conveying Time and Action

Description: The verb form helps us express the time when an action occurred. Understanding verb forms is essential for conveying accurate information about past, present, and future events.

Grammatical Patterns: Subject + Verb + Object

Example sentences: 

  • She sings beautifully at music concerts.
  • They will attend the conference next week.

3. Conditional sentences: expressing hypothetical situations

Description: Conditional sentences are used to express hypothetical situations and their possible outcomes. They consist of two main clauses: an 'if' clause and an 'outcome' clause.

Grammar Patterns: If + Simple Present, Simple Future

Example sentences:

  • If it rains, we will stay indoors and watch a movie.
  • If I win the lottery, I will travel the world.
