The conflict in Papua often creates complex moral dilemmas and raises questions about the principles of justice upheld in this country. On one hand, when members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI-Polri) die in the line of duty, expressions of grief and sorrow resonate throughout the nation. However, on the other hand, the deaths of OPM (Free Papua Movement) members are often met with cheers from separatist groups, prompting questions about the value of human life and humanitarian principles.

Furthermore, reactions to the deaths of OPM members are often met with demands for justice and fair enforcement of human rights. Amid allegations of human rights violations, the people of Papua cry out for equal justice for all individuals, regardless of political affiliation or vested interests.

In this context, a fundamental question arises: Are the principles of true justice fulfilled in the state's response to the conflict in Papua? Is the treatment of both sides, including members of TNI-Polri and OPM, in line with universal standards of justice and human rights?

In grappling with the complexity of the conflict in Papua, it is crucial for the state to prioritize principles of justice, transparency, and fair law enforcement. Only then can the hope for sustainable peace and equitable justice for all individuals in Papua be realized. Please reflect and provide your opinion on the question posed by the article.
