"Ode to Banyumas Cultural Heritage"

A poem entitled "Ode to Banyumas Cultural Heritage", I dedicate it to the people of Banyumas, especially Wijahan, Karangjati,  Kemranjen, Banyumas,  where my birthplace is.

Banyumas, a land of cultural wealth

Where tradition and history converge in stealth 

Amidst its tourist destinations, lies a gem 

A symbol of Islamic and Javanese wisdom

           Masjid Saka Tunggal Baitussalam, a name renowned 

           Standing tall, the oldest mosque in Indonesia found 

           A heritage site, preserved and protected with care 

           Where every corner reflects a message rare

Through thirteen symbols, it tells a tale 

Of spiritual activities that'll never pale 

From the teardrop-shaped lamps, to the Arabic inscriptions 

Each element imbued with sacred interpretations

            A cultural legacy, it stands proud 

            As a site to be admired and avowed 

            A promise of heritage yet to be explored 

            A treasure for all to be adored

Banyumas, your culture is a treasure 

A gift to the world, beyond measure 

May your heritage continue to thrive 

And your cultural wealth forever come alive.
