5.4 million Haitians is under food insecurity marked as the worlds largest famine crisis in 2024. the vulnerable population such as kids and women are impacted 2 times higher as a result of gang violence, climate change, and inflation that attacking Haitians simultaneously making the situation into the level of acute of the primary needs. Haiti (4/12)

"Indeed, The Food insecurity in Haiti is extremly worrysome, you will have seen certainly the latest results of the IPC, released in September 2024, highlighting 5.4 million Haitians in a situation of emergency or crisis in regards to food security, with some pockets of Catastrophic situation," said Erwan Rumen, The Deputy Country Director of the World Food Porgramme.

The farmers are difficult to distribute their harvest in to the economy-center (Port-au-prince, Gressier, and Ganthier) in consequence of gang violence in these areas that restricting the mobilitation of it so that Scarcity of food is inevitable condition. furthermore, the inflation also cannot be avoided since many farmers are experiencing periodical drought where climate change contributes as an additional problem there.

"This is one of the worst, as far as the food security situation is concerned. More practically, when we say that two million Haitians are in IPC4, i.e. emergency, what does it mean? It means that one father, one mother out of five in Haiti has nothing to answer to their children when they say, Daddy, I'm hungry," he added

This extraordinary crisis situation in Haiti must be stopped, articulating all the problems impacted Haitians in the multilateral platform can help them out from this acute.
