Welcoming HIPMI BPC's New Age with Inspiring Talk

There was a ceremony held by HIPMI Balikpapan today as they crown a new leader for 2018-2022. New leader appointed is named Glenn, a young and thriving construction businessman that managed its family business at the age of 21. 

Today all members of HIPMI balikpapan invited me and my friends at semut and gerkatin to attend the ceremony at swiss bell hotel in Balikpapan city. for this event, some people even crossed the sea from penajam early in the morning and went through the rain that swept Balikpapan city today.

All the source speaker is very good, and sadly most of the question session become a suggestion corner for the government people that comes. The highlight of the event comes when all the entrepreneurs that  stand at the front is talking about their hardship and how they gained their deserving success.

It was nice to hear the success story, and for me i was particularly entranced by the story of Rudi Setiawan of Dandito crab dish of Balikpapan, and being able to share the moment with Deaf friends from SEMUT and GERKATIN is a blessing on its own. "Entrepreneurs should always try their best and have a no giving up attitude" he said.  It was his effort that make Balikpapan recognized his business and even have its business name localized as one of the local street name in Manggar, Balikpapan.

some points that should be kept by a person is always be ready to learn and study a lot, be confident, be a risk taker, have a vision, work hard, and build your credibility by being honest and discipline. Deaf friends should not be overwhelmed by their condition and should strive to open their own business. do not be embarrassed as there are a lot of chances to be creative out there. such as: hair saloon, selling foods, knitting and others

i have learned a lot with GERKATIN and SEMUT today, and i hope i can contribute soon as a JBL as well, cause as i see my friends susan and agnes up there being cool and translating and all, i kind of felt jealous. i hope HIPMI Balikpapan will continue to grow along with the new young leader mr. Glenn.
